She is an enthusiastic and dedicated individual, motivated by her desire to work as an Allied Health Professional to improve the quality of life in her current and future clients. She has a passion to empower and guide clients to achieve their goals, using exercise as medicine to optimise their overall health and fitness both physically and mentally.
From a young age Ashleigh has taken a keen interest in the human body, it’s intricacies and it’s ability to adapt and improve. Following her own spinal cord injury rehabilitation, she has seen first-hand the benefit that exercise has both physically and mentally on an individual. Over the years she has developed her love for exercise through team sports, coaching, pilates instructing, as a sports trainer and volunteering in many other capacities. This has ultimately led to her decision to pursue her career in Exercise Physiology in addition to developing a passion for Women’s Health and Chronic Disease Management.
Over the advancement of her career, she has prescribed exercise for a diverse range of clinical conditions, ranging from cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, neurological / neuromuscular rehabilitation, metabolic health, spinal cord and brain injuries to pre and post-natal exercise prescription. Therefore, understanding that just as each client is individual and unique, so too should their approach to exercise be.
